Tainted Wisdom

I will miss Gary Gygax. Because of him, my imagination is what it is today. This is all I will say because an old Dungeons & Dragons comrade has summed it up so well:

Let's drink some mead and lift our flagons
To toast the passing of the fallen lord
Who blessed our lives with Dungeons & Dragons
Which we played shamelessly, smashing shield with sword

Fall mighty beasts and crash thee to Earth
No belch of fire, lighting nor ice
We'll rip ye guts out for all they're worth
And roll naught but 20's on our favorite dice

Shed not a tear for the great lord's death
His spirit moves among the dead
His Dragon with everlasting breath
Carries on his legacy instead
