Voting for a US President in 2008:
Who to vote for in 2008? McCain, Obama, or Clinton? I think one of these three will become the next US President, so which one shall we pick? Let’s not fool ourselves. We can never know what is truly in the hearts and minds of candidates, as prevarication is the sound of every word muttered from their lips. We are not told the truth, but are given media fiction – nothing more than a dangling worm on a hook. We are not being fed real nourishment, but being reeled in for the slaughter. With this said, I say we vote for anyone but Clinton. Why? Think about it. We live the illusion we are part of a democracy, or a republic. We are not. How else could a father and then his son serve as President only a decade apart? Then a husband and wife? Maybe I’m a conspiracy theorist, but the reality is that we, the United States, are looking more and more like ancient Rome. Rome was called a republic, but starting with Caesar/Octavian, the position of emperor began being passed from father to son, or adopted son. The senate lost its power… The people lost their power. So, assuming George Bush has not secretly adopted each of the three available candidates, we will be doing our best to put an end to the emperorship by not voting for Clinton. Too much power is in the hands of too few. The political cartel needs to be busted up.

I've been supporting Obama from the beginning for one simple reason, he inspires people. We don't need a boss, we need a leader. Someone that gets us off our ass to do things for ourselves.
Not only that be he stands against the same old Washington politics that is ruining our country. Hillary would probably make things a little better, but she's not going to get anything done when she's already waist deep in the game.
I know there's a possibility that Obama will get in there and change is tune, it's certainly possible. But for once it's nice to have a little hope that things will change.
Regardless of the outcome, this race has really opened my eyes to how bad things really are in this country.
